Pentland Homes have been awarded a national Considerate Constructors Award for the second year in a row, at an award ceremony held at The Mermaid Conference and Event Centre, London.
The bronze award was presented to the site team from Terlingham Forum, Hawkinge, recognising their achievement in categories including Site Appearance, Community Engagement, Environmental Protection, Safety and Workforce Wellbeing.
The Terlingham Forum development comprises of four contemporary apartments blocks, all with lift access, together with the spacious commercial units on the ground floor, all with ample parking. The commercial units are bringing several important amenities to the area, including a doctor’s surgery, pharmacy, hair salon and café.
The site team were praised for the upkeep of their refurbished on-site facilities, in particular for the creation of wooden planters from unwanted pallets that were used to grow fruit and vegetables. Community projects on this development included the donation of surplus doors which went to the drama department of a local school.
The final Considerate Constructors report from this development stated that “there appears to be no end to the tenacity and drive to work inclusively with the wider community.”
