Hurst or Herst is an Anglo-Saxon word which means a wooded knoll.

You can find Shadoxhurst by car by taking the Woodchurch to Tenterden road from Ashford and by bicycle by taking cycle path 18 from Ashford to Tenterden.

Ashford International is just six miles away with fast train links into London or Paris on the High Speed Rail link.
