Demelza Hospice – Volunteer Day

On Friday, May 17th, the team from Pentland Homes dedicated a rewarding day to volunteer at the remarkable charity, Demelza.

Throughout the day, we engaged in a variety of activities to support the hospice, including:

• General gardening tasks such as trimming plants, weeding, laying grass, and clearing woodland areas and walkways.
• Jet-washing and cleaning of sensory garden equipment and musical areas.
• Construction of garden furniture and equipment.
• Painting and decorating projects.
• Office-based volunteer work.
• Organization and clearance of storerooms.
• Conducting a stock take at the Demelza shop.

Demelza provides exceptional care to children facing serious or life-limiting conditions across Kent, South East London, and East Sussex. Their support extends to families in times of utmost need, wherever and whenever it’s required.
