Our Charity of the Year 2025

At Pentland Homes, we believe in giving back to the communities that we build in and serve. That’s why we are delighted to announce Holding On Letting Go, a local charity based in Rochester, as our Charity of the Year for 2025. 

Holding On Letting Go provides crucial bereavement support for children, young people, and their families, helping them navigate the challenges of grief and loss. Their compassionate work ensures no one faces such a difficult time alone. 

Throughout 2025, we’ll be supporting this incredible organization with a variety of fundraising initiatives and activities. From team challenges to community events, we’re committed to raising both awareness and funds to help Holding On Letting Go continue their vital mission. 

The Managing Director of Pentland Homes, Paul Kitchingman has shared: 

“I am delighted to announce Holding On Letting Go as our Charity of the Year for 2025. As a Kent-based SME business, we feel it is important to give back and to support the activities of charities that work within the communities in which we operate. Holding On Letting Go is one such charity. They provide invaluable and dedicated support helping children across Kent to understand and cope with the bereavement of a family member.

No one wishes to experience the loss of a family member but when this does happen, Holding On Letting Go are there to provide free bereavement and emotional support to children affected by the death of a loved one, and help them to develop emotional resilience skills for moving positively through the grieving process.

The services offered by Holding On Letting Go are vital and inspiring, ensuring that these children can move through to adulthood with a positive framework to support them.
